Zurik is a combination of nonferrous metals, including stainless steel, insulated copper wire, aluminum, copper, lead, magnesium, nickel, tin, and zinc. Generated by computer sensing equipment, it undergoes magnetic separation to reduce or eliminate free iron and large iron attachments. The material is identified as “Zurik” with a number indicating the estimated percentage of nonferrous content. It may be screened for specific size ranges.
SS 304
Grade 304 stainless steel contains 18% chromium and 8% nickel, offering corrosion resistance, ease of welding, and excellent ductility. Specifics about physical description, grading, additional analysis, and preparation are agreed upon between buyer and seller.
SS 316
Grade 316 stainless steel consists of 16% chromium, 10% nickel, and 2% molybdenum. It provides corrosion resistance, ease of welding, and excellent ductility. The chemical composition and other details are subject to agreement between buyer and seller.
17/4 & 15/5 PH
17-4PH and 15-5PH are precipitation-hardening stainless steel alloys with high strength and moderate corrosion resistance. The chemical composition includes chromium, nickel, copper, and other elements. Specifics are subject to agreement between buyer and seller.
INCONEL
Inconel is an austenitic nickel-based superalloy with properties like corrosion resistance and high-temperature strength. Its composition varies for specific applications, such as low cobalt content for nuclear systems. Specific types cater to different needs.
MONEL
Monel consists of clean R and K-Monel solids like sheet, plate, pipe, rods, forgings, screen, and wire cloth. It must be free of soldered, brazed, or welded material, cast material, foreign attachments, and other contamination.
CUPRO NICKEL
Cupro Nickel includes old or new segregated grades like 70/30, 80/20, 90/10 in various forms. Maximum sediment is allowable, and other forms may be included upon agreement. It must be free of foreign attachments and other contamination.
REUSABLE SS
Stainless steel is virtually indestructible and has long-life properties. Once products made from SS become old, they can be remelted and reused in various forms.
SS TURNINGS
Clean 18-8 type stainless steel turnings containing a minimum 7% nickel and 16% chrome. It should be free of nonferrous metals, nonmetallics, excessive iron, oil, and other contaminants.
REGULAR/SHREDDED CATALYTIC SHELLS
Catalytic converter shells reduce toxic gases and pollutants. Regular and Shredded 409 Shells retain properties but differ in form.
SS 430
Stainless steel grade 430 is a non-hardenable steel with good corrosion resistance and formability. It can be used in chemical applications due to resistance to nitric acid.
SS 410
Grade 410 stainless steels are general-purpose martensitic stainless steels providing good corrosion resistance properties. They are used for applications involving mild corrosion, heat resistance, and high strength.
SS 446
Grade SS 446 stainless steel offers resistance to high-temperature oxidation and corrosion. It is a ferritic, non-heat treatable stainless steel.
2205 BARS
Grade 2205 stainless steel is a cost-effective solution for applications susceptible to chloride stress corrosion cracking. It offers superior corrosion resistance compared to common stainless steels.
